 Welcome to our new Fine Woodworking blog.   Here you can join our team on location as we craft furniture, rebuild some of the classic homes in the Bay Area, and design, build, finish and install custom bathroom cabinets, custom kitchen cabinets, entertainment centers and home theaters, custom closets, home offices, custom hand made furniture and the list goes on. It doesn't matter if you are an aspiring craftsman or a home owner wanting new insights into home construction, we are here to teach you our techniques, share stories, and we welcome your feedback. Another  Palo Alto Craftsman Style renovation nears completion as the clients move in. We are still working on a new front porch and steps to complete the project but here are some pictures of the completed interior. We opened up the walls, framed and added a few rooms, built and installed new cabinets throughout the house, as well as the custom closets, windows and doors. Re finished the stairway and floors, added new drywall, siding, and moldings and re-painted the entire house inside and out.

I love stained glass. I have a collection of pieces that I have acquired

through the years- some modern, some antique. Our current remodeling project

on College Ave. in Palo Alto will feature a couple of custom pieces that will be

mounted into custom octagonal window sashes made in our shop. The house

presently has some beautiful units that are visible from the street and are

extremely eye-catching.

The new units will be installed in the upstairs bathrooms which each

have skylights as well. I'm looking forward to checking out how the sunlight

lights up the bathrooms over the course of the day. Our client is in the process

of selecting an artist for the glass-work.
