We Just finished installing another bookcase / wall-unit in Mountain View this week. Painted to match the clients color preference. This project enabled the client to make good use of a very large wall to enhance the overall look and feel of the room. With pull-out storage for CD's and DVD's , Pull-out shelves for the components, built-in lighting, and a new look for the old red brick fireplace. For More Hi-Res Pictures of the project Click Here for more Pictures and for a short VIDEO walk through with a few words from the client on the project Click Here for short video
We just completed another bathroom remodel in Mountain View. Client had an old painted vanity cabinet sitting on carpet and wanted to spruce things up a bit with a new look, so we had our Tile Man, Jay Jones, replace the carpet with tile, We then replaced the painted cabinet with a new distressed cherry cabinet with Arched openings and new lighting Installed by our electrician Dominic at DeLuca Electric.. Here are the before and after shots of the vanity.

We were enlisted to make usable Items from an oak tree that has been part of this Palo Alto Community for over a century. The residents fondly refer to this wonderful oak tree as "George". This is the Third Blog in this series about George and we took a short video of the steps to turn a bowl and uploaded it to our YouTube Channel.

The small lidded vessels are made from remnants
from the custom cabinet shop. The lids and finials are made from recycled
flooring taken from a construction site. The other bowls came from urban trees
that were cut down by a fellow that keeps his trucks and equipment next door to
our shop. All were turned wet (freshly cut) and allowed to dry. Most of the time
as they dry they shrink and deform, sometimes cracking. The woods include
pittosporum, live oak, cherry and avocado.
